Pre Engineering


Imperial starts the project with pre engineering, through which we can arrive a budgetary quote for the Modular Cleanroom or HVAC project.

This pre engineering is also helpful for discussing and understanding the exact requirement and goals of end user.

Requirement Analysis

Requirement analysis is a very important part of Pre Engineering, this analysis is mainly for identifying your exact requirement, for which we make take some time and also visit your site location and analyse the area and take necessary measurement for the next process.

Scope of Project Design and Bill of Quantity

How do you want Imperial to involve in Engineering and Design?

We have the below options.

  • Some clients are unfamiliar with Building construction and civil layout, so we can provide a complete design for your building from our design team
  • Some have their own in house team for designers and engineers who can prepare initial design and specs and wanted to prepare a detailed bill of quantity.
  • Sometimes client have all details ready in hand, just wanted to quote as per their design and bill of quantity.

Engineering and Design


Once all the design and BOQ is finalised, we will prepare a final detailed Quote along with costing details and submit to you, further to which the client need to release the Purchase order (PO). After receiving the PO, a project engineer is assigned dedicatedly to that particular project who may lead the project.

We will work along with your team throughout the engineering and design phase in order to engineer the Clean room modular panel, HVAC till validation

Plan Review and Approval Process

Once your detailed requirements are established, a detailed engineering plan is prepared as per the client’s needs and also thoroughly established, the same will be submitted for client approval. After the client’s comments are received, adjustments will be made and a revised plan will be submitted.

The engineering and design process ends with the approval of the detailed clean room HVAC & Modular panel drawings and documents, which includes

  • Room conditioning chart.
  • Heat Load Calculation Sheets
  • Basic civil plan Layout.
  • HVAC Ducting Layout
  • Reflected ceiling plan layouts (Lighting and Diffusers).
  • AHU and FDV segregation for the respective floors.
  • AHU and FDV Room pressure segregation for the respective floors.
  • Sectional Drawing layouts of the necessary areas.
  • Magnehelic gauge location Layouts.
  • Schematic flow diagram for AHUS and FDVS.
  • AHU unit location layout.
  • Outdoor Unit (DX Unit) or Chiller unit location layouts.
  • GA drawings for Diffusers, Grills, terminal HEPA filter housing, RA raisers, Ducting and Insulation Method.


Once approved, the detailed drawings of the clean room are turned into detailed engineering drawings which will be used to manufacture the Cleanroom panels and HVAC Air systems at our factory.

Manufacturing and Installation


IMPERIAL manufactures its modular panels, HVAC air ducts, Air handling unit in its own plant. Manufacturing of all these are done in a well maintained environment of our factory which enables us to produce and guarantee the best quality and on-time delivery of the products. We do not depend on third party suppliers. Also we always maintain and keep stock of all our raw materials.

The panels are pre-engineered and prefabricated in the factory with all the required mechanical and electrical utilities in built, also we have options for all openings and other utilities already wired inside the wall and ceiling panels.

The HVAC ducts are fabricated in the factory with respective specialised machines for sheering, folding and locking which will guarantee the best quality and finishing.

Since we design, engineer and manufacture everything ourselves, we have the knowledge, ability, and tools to build the clean room system that meets your need.

After delivery of all the materials to site, we will deploy our well experience installation team, who can work with maximum efficiency and complete the project in time.

Validation & Documentation


Validation is done for various reasons such as to check and ensure that the design of the facility meets and fits the clean room environment, also to ensure that the facility, equipment, and environment meets the defined regulatory requirements; to ensure that the facility, equipment, and its environment function together as a system to meet defined standards.

HVAC validations should meet the conditions as per ISO 14644-1,2,3, EU GMP/EC GMP, WHO-TRS-937, WHO-TRS-961, Schedule M (National Regulatory Body) guidelines for all room classifications

In order to validate a system, the followings tests need to be performed and the results to be as per the standards.

  • Air Velocity measurement using Anemometer
  • Air Flow pattern test, Air Changes, ACPH Calculations
  • HEPA filter integrity test using Di-octyl phthalate(DOP) OR Poly alpha olefin (PAO)
  • Non-Viable Particle count test.
  • Recovery test
  • Temperature and Humidity Monitoring.
  • Pressure Balancing
  • Duct Leak Test with generation of smoke/light to identify air leaks at Duct joints & flanges


Documentation is a very important part when concerned to HVAC & Clean Room system, we need to maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for various operational and maintenance activities of clean rooms, documenting technical details

In order to maintain the GMP regulated Environments, we need to compile the following documents.

DQ (Design Qualification)
DQ Design Qualification means showing that a device, apparatus, machine or system has a GMP compliant design

IQ (Installation Qualification)
IQ Installation Qualification means to prove that the setup which is connected and installed as the planned DQ.

OQ (Operational Qualification)
OQ Operational Qualification means showing that the system works as intended in all respects

PQ (Performance Qualification)
PQ Performance Qualification means showing it delivers the overall desired performance.

Here showing is related to proving. With proving one knows the results and has to reach or meet the acceptance criteria in the course of qualification
